SHR Talent is currently representing a leading global manufacturing company in its search for a full-time Supply Chain Planning Manager! This is a Senior role in the company’s Supply Chain Organization focused on capturing the value of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process. The individual in this role will be responsible for leading and managing one consistent S&OP process across all the company’s Business Units to drive a monthly constrained consensus plan. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will participate in strategic planning, envisioning, and project initiatives to support the company’s overall Supply Chain Management Optimization goals and objectives.

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to:
- Manage the design and adoption of SAP’s Sales and Operations Planning toolset and associated processes at the company
- Serve as a thought leader in supply chain planning and future improvement opportunities both within and across Businesses
- Support the monthly S&OP processes by Business to drive the consensus S&OP Plan for Executive approval
- Assess plan and process gaps and issues to identify and implement needed S&OP or APO level changes as required
- Understand the needs and objectives of each Business to optimize their inventory and production activities and translate these needs to S&OP level inputs and actions – train Business users on how best to balance their objectives in the process framework
- Manage the definition and oversight of Business level scenario planning processes and methodologies
- Engage all stakeholders in the process to support Business needs, manage issues and produce approved consensus S&OP plans
- Drive the definition and implementation of best practices in strategic and tactical planning activities within the company
- Serve as a strategic planner to help shape and guide Business level Strategic and Tactical planning activities
- Review performance metrics to assess how S&OP plans are tracking against goals, and work with the functional planning groups to improve their processes to meet the goals
- Implement continuous improvements to the S&OP processes across Businesses with the strategic goal of driving commonality
- Work with the COE to define and implement improvements in ECC, BW and S&OP technology solutions as needed
- Work with Master Data Owners to drive improved reliability and accuracy in planning hierarchies and data definitions
- Develop a deep understanding of Business requirements to support improved levels of service and solution design
- Drive the integration of S&OP with company FSG groups to support internal budgeting, financial reporting and consolidations
- Support technology enhancement projects and initiatives as required – specifically those related to S&OP, APO, IO and the Supply Chain Optimization Roadmap
- Manage staff, including hiring, training, performance management and career development as required
- Develop baseline forecasts and demand plans across the Businesses – support the ongoing training of Business level planners to develop such baselines within the Business over time
- Ensure each Business unit achieves S&OP Plan consensus across Sales, Operations and Finance
- Assist in the development and on-going refinement of supply chain KPIs, analytics, and reporting capabilities
- Occasional travel
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of previous operations related experience
- Experience working with Sales and Marketing groups on demand planning and shaping; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
- Strong working knowledge of supply chain principles and concepts as well as analytical and process improvement capabilities
- Working knowledge of advanced planning and scheduling systems and techniques
- Understanding of statistical forecasting techniques and application
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work across functional lines to manage conflict and achieve stated objectives
- Demonstrated ability to translate varied business requirements into organized operational plans and processes
- Ability to balance an attention to detail with more strategic or process levels of understanding
- Strong computer skills with regard to SAP and Microsoft office products
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management
BONUS POINTS:
- Master’s degree in Business, Operations Management or Supply-Chain
- 4+ years in a planner role preferred
- LSS Certification preferred
