SHR Talent is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist on behalf of a client in Nashville. This is a full-time position paid at an hourly rate. Compensation is dependent on experience The AP/AR Specialist assists the entire Accounting Department and is responsible for posting all cash and check transactions in a timely and accurate manor. The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels. This individual must also have the ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Receives invoices from vendors
  • Daily input of invoices into AVID and MRI systems
  • Maintain W9’s and COI’s for vendors
  • Scanning and filing daily
  • Check Processing
    • Checks are printed on Monday, envelopes are stuffed & checks mailed to vendor once funding is approved.
  • Attach copy of the invoices paid to the check stub for backup
  • File check stubs
  • Record all information using various software programs, including:
    • Excel, MRI, Outlook, MS Word
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Stress tolerance and a sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Must be organized and have excellent time management skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Great communication skills and keeps all informed
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as requested by Manager

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of AP experience
  • Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Highly organized with detail-oriented mind
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & oral
  • Proficient in Excel
