SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Paralegal. The Paralegal is responsible for the client workflow process and should be someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand. To be successful in this role, the Paralegal should be someone who is professional, detail-oriented, and quick, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules, and confidential information. An ideal candidate for the Paralegal role is someone who has 3 years of experience as a Paralegal with Trusts & Estates, is self-directed, and able to work without supervision to meet deadlines.

Essential Job Functions

• Draft and finalize estate plans, petitions, and court-filings
• Draft, edit, and proof-read documents
• Manage ancillary documents, healthcare proxies, and powers of attorneys
• Correspond with clients and business colleagues
• Manage administration of trusts and estates at various life-cycle stages
• Interface with outside accountants to assist with tax preparation and filing
• Scan and file electronic and paper-based documents in cloud storage
• Support attorneys with calendar management and meeting arrangements
• Participate in client document-execution and ceremonies
• Maintain a proactive role in implementing firm-wide best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

• Notary license, a plus

• 3 years’ experience as a Paralegal with Trusts & Estates, required

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
