SHR Talent is partnering with a healthcare client in the Nashville, TN area in its search for a Financial Reporting Manager. The Financial Reporting Manager will report to the Vice President of Finance & Accounting and will be filling a key role with the company and accounting function, with a primary focus on creating and delivering financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc basis.

To be successful in this role as the Financial Reporting Manager, you should possess  knowledge and an understanding of financial statement preparation and reporting, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completion.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead all activities around the preparation of financial statement reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Prepare and maintain supporting workpapers for the statement of cashflows, statement of equity, EPS, stock compensation, and financial disclosures
  • Prepare and maintain disclosure checklists and collaborate with external auditors to ensure completeness and adequacy of disclosures
  • Assist with drafting Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), collaborating with members of management to solicit and incorporate comments and edits into master file
  • Assist with internal controls documentation and reporting
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting requirements, supporting operational needs
  • Research and document complex accounting issues and develop and implement policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
  • Active CPA license, a plus
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting experience, required
  • Experience working with a Big-4 accounting firm, required
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC regulations
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
