DTC Marketing Project Manager

SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Nashville in its search for a full-time DTC Marketing Project Manager. The individual in this role leads all cross-functional product delivery for the company’s eCommerce businesses. The responsibilities of this role begin at project kick-off, leading requirements gathering across technology teams, marketing, and operations to create a clear picture of the full scope of work to be done, dependencies, risks, and timelines. The DTC Marketing Project Manager leads cross-functional projects from requirements to completion, with a focus on smooth process, adherence to timelines and clear communication for all stakeholders. The DTC Marketing Project Manager works toward constant process improvement, with regular retrospectives and process iterations.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead end-to-end project management and delivery for the company’s Direct/eCommerce businesses
• Partner with IT, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and other internal and external teams to understand full project scope and implications, and creating clear documentation and requirements based on the aligned-upon project scope
• Develop project plans based on requirements, timelines, and other project parameters, building buy-in and cross-functional support along the way
• Work collaboratively and proactively with business partners across all units to execute against project plans, providing regular updates and communication touchpoints to all stakeholders
• Drive project to completion with execution excellence and a focus on continual process improvements
• Effectively manage, prioritize and report on multiple projects simultaneously, and help cross-functional partners prioritize work across projects to optimize towards highest-value outcomes and projects for the business
• Provide critical thought leadership to ensure projects are focused on delivering high value to the business unit and organization as a whole
• Use sound business judgment to escalate roadblocks and issues where appropriate, and develop creative and sound solutions to problems as they arise based on previous experience, analysis, and cross-functional expertise
• Provide proactive, strategic thought leadership to ongoing process improvements

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience leading project delivery in a cross-functional, digitally-focused business
• Experience managing large-scale, complex projects, a must
• Experience wearing may hats in a start-up or lean team environment a plus
• Experience building, revising and updating project plans
• Understand core eCommerce and direct-to-consumer technologies, such as Shopify, email service providers and performance marketing platforms.
• Experience managing digital marketing campaigns, such as SMS/Mobile, Web, Social Media, Shopper Marketing, and/or e-commerce
• Experienced in leading cross-functional planning meetings, as well as presenting work to senior management
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Familiar with project-management software tools; experience with Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluencer) is a plus
• Understanding of project management processes and best practices
• Process-oriented, with an understanding of good project management principles
• Understanding of both the customer and financial impacts of product and program decisions
• Organized with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage, prioritize and report on multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form strong working relationships, managing up and across without direct reporting lines
• Strong presentation, speaking, and communication skills
• Knowledge of digital media fundamentals
• Exemplary problem-solving skills, using a sound system of judgment to thoroughly analyze various options before making a decision
• Comfortable working with diverse groups of people
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Ability to anticipate potential issues and develop proactive solutions where necessary
